Frequently Asked Questions

Is the initial consultation really free?

Yes. We offer a free, no-obligation initial consultation for all enquiries. This gives us the opportunity to understand your matter and provide initial guidance before any formal instruction or cost commitment is made.

Can I speak to a solicitor remotely?

Absolutely. We offer consultations by telephone and video call (Microsoft Teams, Zoom or your preferred platform) as well as in-person appointments at our Sheet Street offices.

How are your fees structured?

We offer transparent fixed fees, hourly rates and conditional fee arrangements (no win, no fee) depending on the nature of your matter. We will always agree costs in writing before work commences — there are no hidden charges.

How quickly will you respond?

We commit to responding to all telephone calls and emails within one business day. For urgent criminal or injunctive matters, we have a 24-hour emergency line.

Are you on the legal aid register?

We are able to advise on legal aid eligibility for certain matters, including criminal defence and some family law cases involving domestic abuse. Please contact us to discuss your specific circumstances.

How do I make a complaint?

We are committed to resolving any concerns promptly and fairly. Please contact our Client Care Partner in writing. If the matter is unresolved, you may refer to the Legal Ombudsman. Full details are in our Complaints Procedure.
